Interviewee: The headquarters are in Dalian. However, I am located in the Jiaxing (Jiaxing drug store - Ganoderma Lucidum Health House).
Anton Tscherne: Which year was the company set up? Is there anything to say about the course of development?
Interviewee: The company was founded in 1925 in Dalian.
In 1948 the companies’ predecessor called Chinese Medicine Co., Limited was founded which marks the birth of the first Chinese state-run pharmaceutical enterprise in New China. In 1958 the company introduced the first independent and successful development of erythromycin which astonished the world and it became the earliest base of antibiotic production in China. In 1994 Merro International fungus polysaccharide won the world's only new resource food certificate at that time. In 2000, Dalian Merro Pharmaceutical Ltd was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (A share) with the stock number: 600297. In 2004 Merro International Biology (Hongkong) Group Co., Ltd. was established.
In 2005 Merro International Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established. In January of 2013 the People's Republic of China direct sales marketing license was formally obtained. In 2014 Merro International implemented its transformation and upgrading strategy in order to break through the traditional business model. In 2014 Merro International Health Pharmacy Co., Ltd. was established. During the years 2015-2016, Merro health pharmacy built 1000 health pharmacies nationwide. A total of more than 6500 health stores of Ganoderma lucidum were built in 2017. Also in that year the People's Republic of China Internet drug transaction service qualification certificate was obtained with Certificate number: C20170001.
On January 5, 2017, the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medicine Research Institute (Tu Youyou's research team) and Merro International signed a joint laboratory agreement for the development of fungal polysaccharides antitumor drugs for western medicine. Also in the beginning of 2017 there was a national strategic cooperation with Russia and Merro international. The traditional innovation and cross-border development focuses on win-win situations which leads to excellence and achievement. 
Anton Tscherne: Why are you currently engage in this industry? Can you tell us your story?
Interviewee: In order to support the family and children I have worked for decades. Often, I would feel sick. I had serious constipation, insomnia, anemia, shoulder vertebrae, cervical vertebrae pain and serious gynecopathy which made me run to the hospital frequently. After I was more than 40 years old, I began needing much medicine and I was very tired of such a life. Thereafter, because of Mr. Yang's recommendations I went to their meetings. The teacher explained on the platform that the fungus polysaccharide is able to repair cells, activate metabolic cells and improve the human immunity. Immune enhancement can eliminate all kinds of diseases and I felt very fresh after using it.
In the beginning I had never heard of it and I kept trying it. I used fungus polysaccharides however I didn't eat it. I didn't know that one could eat it and it was amazing to eat for five months. During this time, I felt relaxed and as if I was back to a young age. That made me think about what kind of company it was that could produce such a wonderful product. If we can share it we can help thousands of people with poor health and also help chronic patients get healthy again.
After that I went to the Dalian general company and saw a lot of family members from all over the country. Through the conditioning of fungal polysaccharides, they have recovered from hypertension, diabetes, psoriasis, erythema, blue sore, eczema, cancer and so on. I saw two co-founders and the chairman. There were also distinguished and visionary entrepreneurs meeting the chairman of the board and asking him about his wisdom. I also saw that Professor Ni Zongyao, a famous scientist, has developed a top and unique fungal polysaccharide for thirty years to benefit mankind.
They set up a platform for the development and production of polysaccharides and created a new miracle of human health. For those reasons I did not hesitate to engage in this great cause and sharing this information to help more people get health.
Anton Tscherne: Could you tell us about your company's development and direction?
Interviewee: In 2013 "The Joint Laboratory for the development Fungus polysaccharide anti-tumor Chinese Medicine” was setup. The United States of America has strong authoritative Chinese medicine research institutions with strong strength and far-reaching impact. The United States international laboratory has a good outlook and strength, as well as the concept of Chinese medicine research and development of China's antitumor Chinese medicine of Merro International. The Institute of Chinese medicine, Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Merro International have become one of the most advanced authoritative Chinese Medicine Research Institutes with far-reaching influence. Merro International has a good prospect with its concepts and persistence in the research and development of Chinese medicine.
Both sides aim at a common goal, that is to carry forward the Chinese traditional medicine and benefit the health of mankind. Research on the development of fungal polysaccharides is one aspect. In addition, it has been included in the agenda to study the development of fungal polysaccharides into six classes of new Chinese medicine. This work is now being done. In the future we will also develop drugs and health foods for other functions of Ganoderma lucidum, such as blood clots, treatment of kidney disease, treatment of heart failure and so on. Cooperation in the field of Chinese medicine resources and chemical metabolism will also be carried out. Scientific research of Ganoderma lucidum, and its rational usage and correct evaluation will also be implemented.
The two sides have carried out a comprehensive cooperation, while promoting the output of scientific research and also encouraging enterprises to update their technology in order to develop better and more products. At the same time the two sides involved in the project also actively make joint declarations at the national, provincial and ministerial level in support of these scientific research projects. They jointly declare scientific research results.
As we all know, the research and development cycle of Chinese medicine is a long process and the investment required is big. In that the risk is high China needs to have the enterprises take on more social responsibility. The development of the enterprise needs sustainability and strategic vision for long-term development is needed. At the same time the purpose of the combining the enterprises and research institutes is to give enterprises a leading role and to make use of the demand of the professionalism of the enterprises to the outside market.

Anton Tscherne: What is the main product or service of your company? What competitive advantage does it have in the market?
Interviewee: Fungus polysaccharides is being created to solve the problems of pollution in the air, water and food which enters the human body. There are diseases, cell illnesses in the various parts of the body that form a variety of diseases. It is important to repair activated cells, improve cell sealing by using the bodies self-healing forces. Fungus polysaccharides and three terpenoids play a good role in the recovery of cancer. The higher the content, the faster the effect will come. The contents of fungus polysaccharide 80% has been stored in 301303 for eight years of clinical research.
