Anton Tscherne: How did your past life experience affect your current works?

Interviewee: In fact, when I was very young, I liked the very bony font of Liu Ti. I looked at it vigorously and liked copying it very much. I thought it was very tasty. With my handwriting, I could grasp it quickly. So I liked Liu Ti very much.

I began to study the essence of calligraphy masters of past dynasties, learn from the past, learn from all the strengths, incorporate and integrate. Not only from the pen and ink techniques, but also from the theoretical education.

I've been studying calligraphy for forty-eight years now. Although I've made a little progress, I feel more and more that I'm not enough and I need to recharge my batteries. In fact, the influence of calligraphy on a person is not a technique, but the cultivation of feelings and qualities. It is a manifestation of comprehensive literacy. It is necessary to present artistic aesthetics and vitality from the height of aesthetics.

Write for a long time, you will more and more deeply understand that in art, there is no peak, only higher. In the process of learning, there will be different perceptions every day. If you think that you have already got 100 points, you can no longer make progress, and you can no longer have ideals and pursuits. How can art have a hundred points? Therefore, only by constantly pursuing and perfecting can we ensure that we do not retreat.

Anton Tscherne: What is your understanding of calligraphy?

Interviewee: My understanding of calligraphy is not simply writing, but an expression of the author's experience and mood, which embodies the humanistic realm, the creator's perception, and the spiritual value behind the art of calligraphy.

Innovation is the requirement of the times for art. The so-called innovation is not to invent something deliberately, but to find the connotation of innovation, the elements of the times and unique value performance. The most important thing is that we must not break away from tradition and respect it. This is the root of innovation and can not be discarded.

I think that good calligraphy can be liked by both professionals and outsiders. It is most important to look comfortably. In fact, whether the character is good or bad, no matter the expert or layman, it is clear at a glance. From the quality of the word, we can also see a person's good or bad. This is a delicate relationship between the creator and the calligraphy before, which is beyond words. Therefore, it is the most important thing for calligraphers to do their self-cultivation homework well.

Anton Tscherne: Have you ever held a calligraphy exhibition?

Interviewee: On July 28, 2012, he participated in the "Haining Charity Tour Friendship Party" and the "National Exhibition of Famous Calligraphers and Painters". On August 26, 2012, he participated in the National Calligraphy Exhibition of "2012 West Lake Charity Art Salon". Main honor Zhu Bairong and Ouyang Zhongshi, Shen Peng and Liu Dawei have published "Everybody's Style", "Classic Inheritance", "Seven Great People in Seventy Years", "Eternal Monument", "A Generation of Famous Masters", "2016 Yearbook of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting", "Favorite Calligrapher and Painter of the People", "Collection of Famous Chinese Artists", "A Master of First-Line Art", "Pride of China" and "International Calligraphy and Painting" on the 23rd Exchange Exhibition and other special issues. The works were published in the column of Chinese Culture Daily on December 21, 2015, the column of art collection of People's Daily Overseas European Journal on January 10, 2016, the column of "everybody" in February 2016, and the column of "cultural monthly" in mid-November 2015.

Anton Tscherne: Have you won any prizes in exhibitions at home and abroad? Who collects your calligraphy?

Interviewee: I have won many awards at the exhibition. My calligraphy has been collected by many heads of state. In December 2016, at the Beijing Poly Autumn Art Auction in 2016, "Don't forget the beginning, you must always" (2 square feet) trade at 760,000 yuan, and "Vacuum Life Seconds" (4 square feet) trade at 1.2 million yuan.
